Respite, Reminder, & Renewal

Saturday afternoon, (Day13-mile 3,361)  Time Off
We arrived at Dave's sister's home in Colorado for a much needed respite.   Exhausted and well fed, we all went to bed early.  Sunday morning we awoke to bright blue skies & warm temperatures, ate blueberry buckle, and went to Suzi & Rick's church.  The music and sermon (Being a Radical Follower) were wonderful and a much needed reminder of where my focus for my life should be.
Every breath that I take, Every moment I'm awake, Lord, I give to you alone.

Pastor preached: "We have a radical Savior...following Christ is a radical life style."   I came away feeling renewed.
Good times were had by all.  We spent time with family that we don't see often; we ate delicious food prepared by Suzi and our nephew; we sampled tasty wine; we played card games (not my favorite pastime but a "must" if one is part of this family);  and we relaxed and de-stressed.

Today, I am updating this blog so look in previous posts for more to say for each day of travel.  Dave is changing oil in the car.  Mom is busy in the kitchen (as always) and Dad has already been fixing things.
We had a very brief hailstorm this morning and the skies remain gray.  But we don't have to travel today, so let it rain if it must.
